The Vam05 Keyboard Kit is a compact 40% keyboard featuring adjustable-hardness gasket mounting, number keys 1–6, and arrow keys, designed for both portability and functionality. It operates on ZMK firmware, supporting wired and BLE wireless modes, with real-time key remapping available through ZMK Studio. The PCB is based on an nRF52840 chip and includes MX hot-swap sockets, RGB under-glow lighting, and three multifunction indicator LEDs for layer switching, Caps Lock status, battery charging, and Bluetooth connection. 

The keyboard is designed to work with the HAC-006 battery (not included due to shipping restrictions), which is compatible and easily sourced. Notably, while the Vam05 does not support split spacebars due to the placement of the MCU, it is compatible with certain other PCBs that do. The keyboard features a default typing angle of 4°, with an option for 7.5° using additional PC feet. NULL65 Series 2.0 Wood Keyboard Kit

KAT Retrobytes is a modern take on the classic CM64 keyboard, designed to evoke pixel-perfect nostalgia. Manufactured by Keyreative, the keycaps are made from durable PBT material with a thickness of 1.7mm and feature dye-sublimated designs. The product offers a variety of kits, including C64 Alphas, Mono Alphas, and themed novelties like Pixel Computing and Pixel Gaming. Additional kits may be added based on user feedback. Retrobytes aims to blend vintage aesthetics with modern functionality, catering to keyboard enthusiasts looking for a unique and nostalgic typing experience.

KAT Retrobytes

The Altair and Altair-X are keyboard kits set to launch from September 19th to October 20th, with an estimated arrival in Q3 2026. They maintain the same design as the original version but introduce new color options, including Black, Camo Green, Navy, and Silver. Add-ons available for both models include a soft carrying pouch, aluminum weight for tripod mounts, a coiled USB cable, and a solder PCB option.

The pricing for the keyboard kits starts at $300 for the Altair-X and $315 for the Altair, consistent with the previous version. Additional components can be purchased separately, such as extra plates, PCBs, and weights, with prices varying based on material and type. A new PBS keycap set is also in development, expected to be priced under $30.

Each kit includes case halves, polycarbonate plates, brass weights, PCBs, a USB-C cable, a custom hard carrying case, and necessary assembly hardware. The keyboards feature a 7-degree typing angle and are constructed from aluminum and polycarbonate materials.

Altair & Altair-X

The R2 Fossil and Southpaw Fossil Full Size Keyboard is a premium mechanical keyboard designed and manufactured in the USA. It features a unique Southpaw variant and is available for pre-order from August 25 to September 15, 2025, with an anticipated six-month turnaround for delivery. The keyboard includes options for a solder or hot-swap PCB, a grommet mount, and a USB-C daughterboard, ensuring compatibility and ease of use. 

Weighing approximately 2.44 kg (5.6 lb), the keyboard boasts a 7-degree angle and a 17.5mm front height. Customers can choose from various color options, including Grey, Sand, Mongoose (color-changing), Pegasus (color-changing), and Northern Lights, with additional costs for certain finishes. The kit comes with an aluminum full plate, with options for half aluminum, FR4, or carbon fiber available. 

Included in the purchase is a custom carrying case for the first 100 orders, and there are various add-ons like extra PCBs, weight bluing, and additional weights available for purchase. Overall, this keyboard combines aesthetic customization with functional design, catering to mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.
