Altair & Altair-X

The Altair and Altair-X are customizable mechanical keyboard kits set to launch from September 19 to October 20, with an estimated arrival in Q3 2026. They maintain the same design as the previous version but introduce new color options including Black, Camo Green, Navy, and Silver, along with various addons. Key features include a soft carrying pouch, aluminum weights for tripod mounts, a new PBS keycap set, and a coiled USB cable for connecting both halves. The base pricing starts at $300 for the Altair-X and $315 for the Altair, with various addons available such as extra plates, PCBs, and weights at different price points. The kit includes case halves, polycarbonate plates, brass weights, PCBs, a USB-C cable, and a custom hard carrying case. The keyboards are designed with a 7-degree typing angle and are constructed from aluminum and polycarbonate materials.
