Astro Domes

Astro Domes are a new type of keyboard dome designed to replicate the feel of BKE Redux domes but with a closed top for improved sound quality. The domes are named after Texas cities, including Shiner, Weird, Lean, Fiesta, and Big D, adding a unique thematic element. Each dome features a T20 torx drive on top for easy customization. Astro Domes come in standard packs containing 8 one-unit strips and 1 two-unit strip, totaling 36 domes. Sample packs are also available, featuring a variety of dome types. The weights of the domes vary, with Shiner expected to be around 35g, Weird at 50g, Lean at 70g, Fiesta at 90g, and Big D at 120g, all measured without a spring. In terms of feel, Astro Domes are described as more tactile and snappy compared to the original BKE Redux domes, making them an attractive option for keyboard enthusiasts looking for a responsive typing experience. Restocking is planned based on demand, with a launch expected in April. Pricing details are yet to be announced, but they are anticipated to be more affordable than competitors.
