GS80-3000

The GS80-3000 is a custom PCB designed to revive Cherry's G80/G81-1000/3000 and related series keyboards. It addresses the challenges faced by Cherry OG enthusiasts by incorporating modern features while maintaining compatibility with original Cherry components. Key improvements include a ZH1.5 port for easy connection with original 5-pin USB cables, support for off-center 1.25u bottom row keycaps, and an optional ZH1.5 daughter board for better cable management. The PCB is made from FR4 material, has a thickness of 1.6mm, and features a yellow solder mask with a HASL surface finish. It is wired-only with Type-C and ZH1.5 connectors, and is compatible with various layouts, including stepped caps and split backspace options. The GS80-3000 is priced at $70, with the optional daughter board available for $5. Future releases will include the GS80-1800 and GS80-3700, offering additional features and layout support.
