MB-44 v2

The MB-44 v2 is a premium 40% keyboard designed to enhance user experience with modern features and a refreshed design. Building on the original MB-44 from 2021, the v2 includes a reworked case for improved fit and finish, reducing effective key height from 24.6mm to 22.2mm. The updated PCB now utilizes an STM32 MCU and features an upgraded Unified Daughter Board. Structural enhancements have been made to minimize reverberations, including a brass interior cover plate for sound dampening. This keyboard maintains its unique aesthetic with a lofted case bottom and refined profile, while offering a full 6.25u spacebar and various split bar configurations. The plate is made from FR4, with options for alternative materials available. The expected price for the kit is set at $350, with color options contingent on interest levels, starting with clear anodization as the default.
