The OG40 is a unique 40% keyboard designed by Cosmos Design, inspired by Cherry's G80 series. Rather than being a simple replica, it reinterprets classic design elements from the 80s and early 90s, a time known for its unconventional key arrangements. The OG40 supports layouts like BAE (Big Ass Enter) and a 10U spacebar, aiming to provide a practical and visually appealing desktop tool. It features a fixed layout at 14U, balancing usability and aesthetics, and includes both 13-column and 14-column layouts to enhance keycap compatibility. The design pays homage to the nostalgic elements of vintage keyboards while ensuring modern usability.
