The keyboard is available in various layouts, including WK/WKL/HHKB, and has a typing angle of 6.9° with a front height of either 17.9mm or 22.0mm. Weighing 1.54kg when fully assembled, the Optica utilizes a unique combination of plate-mount and O-ring gasket mounting for enhanced typing acoustics. It includes a 1.6mm FR4 PCB compatible with MX switches, and is constructed from durable materials such as aluminum for the top and bottom case, along with a stainless steel weight for added stability. The kit comes complete with essential components, including two PCBs (one hotswap and one solder), an aluminum plate, gaskets, rubber feet, and a carry case. The Optica is set to be available for purchase through group buy from January 3rd to February 3rd, 2025, with an estimated price of $399 USD, which may adjust slightly based on local vendors. Color options are still being finalized, but raw and silver finishes are confirmed.
