Soleil

The Soleil is a solar-powered wireless tenkeyless (TKL) keyboard designed to harness ambient light for self-sustainability. Featuring beautiful wooden accents, the keyboard integrates a solar panel over the arrow cluster to minimize the need for external charging. The concept originated from a collaboration with Gondolindrim, who ensured the design could effectively utilize solar energy. While the Soleil can operate under average office lighting, it may require occasional charging due to varying light conditions. In brighter environments, such as sunny offices, the keyboard has the potential to be fully self-sustaining. It is equipped with a 780 mAh battery, which, thanks to its efficient design and the ZMK firmware, can last up to 10 months on a single charge under typical usage conditions. The Soleil combines functionality with an eco-friendly design, making it an attractive option for environmentally conscious consumers.
