Vam05 Keyboard Kit

The Vam05 Keyboard Kit is a compact 40% keyboard designed for portability and functionality. It features adjustable-hardness gasket mounting, number keys 1–6, and arrow keys, making it a versatile option for users. The keyboard operates on ZMK firmware, supporting both wired and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) wireless modes, with real-time key remapping available through ZMK Studio. Its PCB is built around the nRF52840 chip and includes MX hot-swap sockets and RGB under-glow lighting. The keyboard also has three multifunction indicator LEDs that provide information on layer switching, Caps Lock status, battery charging, and Bluetooth connection. The design includes a battery power toggle switch, though batteries are not included due to shipping restrictions; it is compatible with the HAC-006 battery, which is readily available. Inspired by the popular Trashman’s v4n4g0n layout, the Vam05 aims to offer a modern wireless experience while maintaining classic design elements. It has a default typing angle of 4°, with optional PC feet available to increase the angle to 7.5°. The keyboard is compact yet fully functional, making it suitable for those seeking a stylish and practical typing solution.
