The Plateless 65XT is a 65% keyboard designed by emin, focusing on a tadpole layout and a sleek appearance. It features a robust construction with an A6063 aluminum top and bottom case, complemented by a weight piece available in sandblasted brass or stainless steel. The kit includes a 1.6mm solder PCB compatible with QMK and VIA, as well as a variety of materials for the plate, such as aluminum and POM. The keyboard comes with 10 A50 and 10 A70 Tadpoles, 12 rubber standoffs, and all necessary assembly parts, including screws and an allen key. Color options will be determined through community feedback, with renders expected in March 2025. The design process has involved experimentation with integration methods for improved sound and feel, although some challenges remain in achieving the desired results.
