The 618 keyboard by Zepsody, originally named "Longhorn," is a custom mechanical keyboard designed to cater to users seeking a high-quality daily driver. Developed since 2021, it features an 8-degree typing angle and is compatible with both MX and Alps switches. The keyboard includes a Mechlovin PCB with QMK and VIA support, and offers options for hotswap or solderable configurations. Its construction utilizes 6063 aluminum for the case and includes a centered USB-C universal daughterboard, along with LED indicator lights featuring an acrylic diffuser. The design incorporates a Poron gasket mount with silicone side gaskets for stability. Weighing approximately 10lb 6oz (4.7kg) when fully assembled, the keyboard aims to provide an optimal typing experience with flexibility adjustments planned for future prototypes. The name "618" is inspired by the TON 618 black hole, reflecting the keyboard's large size.
